1. What is a custom aluminum battery enclosure?

Fully tailor-made aluminum housing for lithium, LiFePO4 and lead-acid battery packs. All structural frames, shells, partitions and heat conduction components adopt aluminum material. It is customized according to cell arrangement, installation space, heat dissipation, waterproof grade and safety standards, with reserved openings for BMS, wiring terminals, pressure relief valves and mounting brackets.


2. What customizations can I order?

  • Mechanical: Exact outer/inner dimensions, rib reinforcement, mounting brackets, snap-fit or bolted assembly, cable strain relief cutouts

Extruded aluminum alloy (6061/6063)
  •  Advantages: Low cost, fast processing, good heat conductivity, easy to extrude integrated heat sink profiles, light weight

Sheet metal aluminum (5052/3003)
  • Advantages: Good bending & welding performance, flexible small-batch customization, no high mold cost

4. IP Waterproof, Condensation Prevention & Sealing?

What IP grades can all-aluminum enclosures reach? How to realize high waterproof rating?

  • IP54: Simple rubber gasket + bolt fastening, for indoor dry environment
  • IP65: Continuous silicone foam gasket, argon arc full welding of aluminum seams, suitable for outdoor rain splash
  • IP67: Compressed solid silicone gasket, flat precision welding surface, sealed cable glands, can be immersed in 1m water for 30 minutes
  • IP68: Double-layer sealing structure, laser welding aluminum seams, air tightness pressure test, support long-term shallow water immersion

How to solve condensation inside sealed all-aluminum battery boxes?

  • Install aluminum alloy waterproof breathable valves to balance internal & external air pressure
  • Place desiccant bags inside the aluminum cavity
  • Conduct hydrophobic anodizing treatment on inner aluminum surface
  • Avoid rapid temperature fluctuation during assembly; reserve tiny pressure balance holes for low-power packs

5. What certifications can custom aluminum battery enclosures support?


  • Global lithium transportation certification: UN38.3 (vibration, impact, altitude air tightness test of aluminum shell)
  • North America market: UL2054, UL2580; aluminum metal itself reaches high flame retardant grade without UL94 plastic test
  • EU market: CE-LVD, CE-EMC (relying on aluminum natural shielding)
  • Energy storage industry standard: IEC62619
  • Automotive grade: IEC60068 shock, vibration, temperature cycle test

8.What is the warranty range of custom all-aluminum battery enclosures?

Standard 1–3 year structural warranty against factory defects: welding crack, water leakage caused by processing error, anodizing peeling, dimensional out-of-tolerance. The warranty does not cover damage from man-made impact, improper assembly, long-term chemical soaking or operation exceeding design temperature limit.
